Hua Ma Cave is known as the “First Wonder Cave” of the Ba Be scenic region. It is a deeply impressive destination featuring magnificent stalactite landscapes and fascinating legends.

The cave is nestled halfway up Co Don Mountain in Dong Phuc Commune, Thai Nguyen Province. Situated at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level, visitors reach the entrance by walking up winding stone staircases shaded by the forest canopy.

Extending over 700 meters deep with a vaulted ceiling reaching heights of 40 to 50 meters in places, the cave interior is remarkably spacious and airy, evoking the feeling of stepping into a colossal natural hall. Inside, millions of stalactites and stalagmites have been shaped over millions of years. The formations inside Hua Ma take on vivid, unique shapes: from cascading terraces resembling terraced rice fields, and vaulted arches resembling towers, Buddha statues, and lotus flowers, to towering gray stone pillars acting like pillars supporting the sky. The cave interior is dry and naturally cool year-round (around 18–22°C), equipped with tasteful lighting designed to highlight its shimmering beauty while preserving its pristine wild charm.
